As many of our customers become aware of the news surrounding the possibility of BAPS’ acquisition of Hake’s Grocery, we wanted to personally share our thoughts with you, our valued customers. Such a move stirs up many questions, as BAPS has always been a paint store, and it may seem counterintuitive that a paint store would step into the grocery business.

What you may not be aware of, though, is that BAPS is not just entering into the grocery business, but we are, instead, upholding a family business. Our first love at BAPS is serving the community and the second is family business.

When we heard that Hake’s would be going out of business, we knew we had to take action. Pursuing Hake’s will be a new and different opportunity for us, but it will allow us to serve the community in new ways, build better relationships with our customers, and continue to keep a family business alive that has been around for decades.

More than anything, we want you to know that we are not going anywhere. BAPS has been in the automotive paint business for decades and looks forward to continued growth in the coming years. We love our business, we love the community we serve, and we love the people we work with. We are excited for the opportunities that continue to present themselves in this business and look forward to serving you for years to come.
