Job Purpose and Summary:

The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for inside store sales, taking customer orders, paint mixing, and other general store operations support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists walk-in customer base with product and usage questions as well as sales needs
  • Answers incoming phone calls and takes phone orders from customers while recording information accurately and with a positive and courteous demeanor
  • Accurately processes work through the company computer system, including but not limited to: purchase orders, work orders, customer invoices, etc.
  • Unloads merchandise from trucks and breaks down pallets/boxes
  • Gathers product to ship out to customers/vendors or transfer to other locations.  Boxes up product and shrink wraps materials and ensures packaging meets shipping requirements
  • Performs inventory counts to include checking physical inventory compared to computer generated count sheets
  • Stores merchandise on product shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, color, or type of material
  • Delivers merchandise to customer locations while operating a company vehicle safely and following all state laws
  • Performs paint mixing and color matching services
  • Pulls customer orders and processes special order items
  • Keeps counter area (station) safe, orderly, and clean.  Participates in a cleaning routine for the store and warehouse
  • Maintains an accurate cash drawer to include accepting payment and making change
  • Assists store management team with end of day closing procedures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
